God is crying out to His people "I need you to wake up." He is waiting to move but continues to finds His people sleeping. He needs His people to be awake and watching and praying. It is time to arise and shine and let God's Glory fall upon you. Remember Jesus had to wake the disciples three times in Gethsemane asking "are you still sleeping and resting?" telling them that the hour was at hand and it was time to rise up and get going. (Matthew 26:36-46) God is calling us to desperately rise up, awaken to the possibilities around us, He is stirring us to wake up and expand ourselves, He needs us to arise from our sleep and slumber, He is waiting to pour His glory over us but we must be awake and alert to receive it. Even Eli kept telling Samuel to "go lie back down, go back to sleep, you didn't hear anything." No, God was calling Samuel, He was telling Samuel "get up it's time. I don't care how old you are, if I am calling you I am calling you." (1 Samuel 3) God needs us to awaken to the light He is desiring to bestow upon us so that we can cause others to awaken from their sleep, from their place of complacency and deadness. We must put our armor on for it is time to go to war, the battle is at hand, we will clothe ourselves in truth and integrity, being fully prepared with the word, holding onto faith and walking in our salvation, being stirred up to battle with the Holy Ghost as the living, breathing word of pursuit in us. We need to be prepared to cast down the darkness as our light shines forth in this last hour. And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. Romans 13:11-14:1 |
